GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE

Take the day off to demand climate justice for everyone.

At CLIMARTE we believe that art can activate communities to take action on the Climate Emergency. But we also know that it will take more than art to persuade our governments to take action. It takes a community to show up and tell them what we want.

On September 20th CLIMARTE is taking part in the Global #ClimateStrike

That’s why we would like to invite all our friends and supporters, artists, curators, directors and volunteers to join with us under the CLIMARTE banner at the Melbourne Global #ClimateStrike on Friday 20th September 2:00 – 4:00pm at Treasury Garden, opposite Flinders Lane (we’ll be there from 1.30pm).

We are in the thick of the climate crisis.

We are already experiencing the long-predicted impacts of climate breakdown.

If we don’t act now to transition fairly and swiftly away from coal, oil & gas to 100% renewable energy, this will only get worse.

But it’s going to take all of us working together to succeed.

Please join us on 20 September – three days out from the UN’s Emergency Climate Summit – by taking the day off school, uni or work to show our politicians that we’re serious about climate action.

PS. If you can’t get to Melbourne’s #ClimateStrike there are many other events happening around Australia and the world. Find one HERE.

The world isn’t waiting so neither are we.
