'You can't eat the Metaverse, or can you? Health, Wellness and Sustainability in a Digital Era'

Artist Talk with ACE & A.R.

Tuesday 13 December, 6:00pm to 8:00pm

As a part of FOOD we are proud to present ‘You can’t eat the Metaverse, or can you? Health, Wellness and Sustainability in a Digital Era’ and artist talk with ACE & A.R.

Today we are living an ‘age of mind’. Research has also confirmed that what we put inside our minds, is as important as what we put in our bodies. Healthy “mindfood” is becoming an increasingly important part of our emotional and mental wellbeing.

“Mind nourishment” is the idea that we can actively ingest experiences, thoughts and ideas that make us feel positive about our lives. Mind nourishment in the future may always not come from a biological source. For example, this year for the first time ever, the FDA in the US approved the first “game-based digital therapeutic” for children with ADHD.

As this evolution of tech happens, we need to ask ourselves what this means for our own nature, the impact on our carbon based bodies and our relationship to the natural world.  Could we be creating more problems for future generations or will these enhancements help us in difficult times?
Join interdisciplinary artists ARay and Ace (Futureology) and guests for a fascinating discussion about health, wellness and sustainability in a phygital era.

When: Tuesday 13 December, 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Where: CLIMARTE Gallery, 120 Bridge Road, Richmond VIC 3121
